Finding Meaning and Direction with Thinking at the Edge

TAE Video Course With Your Own Partner

We want all Focusers to have access to Thinking at the Edge! This option provides you with two registrations, one for you and one for your partner.

Doing TAE with your own Focusing partner is more feasible than doing it alone.

If you are not familiar with Focusing, we’ll refer you to a Certified Focusing Trainer for a preparatory course.

Prerequisites:

You need to be an experienced Focuser. Please tell us about your background in Focusing and Listening on the form below.

It’s up to you to choose one partner to go through the course with. You will each receive your own registration.

Price for you and your partner: $200

To sign up:
Include the name and email of your Focusing partner in the form below.

After your registration is approved and $100 paid, we will send your partner their link to register for $100.

Your recommendation of your Focusing partner is enough. Your partner does not need to fill out the form.

Format:

  • 8 short lectures
  • 8 video demonstrations of TAE Steps 1-11
  • Videos of Gene Gendlin doing his own TAE process
  • Workbooks for each step
  • Transcripts

Online TAE Community

The course gives you access to our online community where you can ask questions, learn about Gendlin’s philosophy, and get to know fellow TAE-ers.

Access to the course content

You’ll be able to download all workbooks and transcripts.

The videos will be available for one year after you register.

What participants are saying:

“Bea’s talks in a lovely garden setting are welcoming, accessible and holding wonder. In the demonstrations, the quality of her listening allows the Focuser’s information to emerge and make itself known. Beautiful to see an interaction without ego agenda.”
—Nicola Visser

“I’ve begun the course & am finding it very user friendly. I like how easy it is to move through the sections. Bea’s summary alongside the video works really well. It’s great to see sections ticked off as they are completed, and yet it’s possible to revisit them again. So far, so great!”

–Therese Ryan, Ireland

“I just want to say how much I am loving the self-paced course. It is working for me :) I am only up to class 2, and have already got so much out of it. After I did the first class, I thought to myself – this is so good; there are even more steps? It gets deeper? Thanks, Beatrice, for putting this together and making it so clear.”

Your TAE Mentor, Beatrice Blake

I became a Certified Focusing Trainer in 2000 and took my first TAE course in 2004 with Gene Gendlin, Nada Lou and Kye Nelson. I’ve been a Certifying Coordinator with TIFI since 2011 and have been teaching TAE in English and Spanish since 2013.

I love to see how TAE brings Gendlin’s philosophy to life.
