Finding Meaning and Direction with Thinking at the Edge

With Bea in a Small Live Group or in Private Sessions

Small Group Class format:

One or two steps of the TAE process (Steps 1 to 11) are presented in each class. You’ll have the opportunity to have Bea guide you through each step. You will also gain understanding as you observe the process of your companions.

Between classes you will practice each step with a partner from the class.

All sessions will connect via Zoom.

All live classes include Bea’s new TAE video course, Finding Meaning and Direction with Thinking at the Edge. It has:

  • 8 lectures
  • Video demonstrations of TAE steps 1-11
  • Transcripts of each class
  • Nada Lou’s videos of Gene Gendlin going through his own TAE process (with Bea’s commentaries)

The video course serves to support and reinforce what you are learning in the live classes.

In addition, you’ll be welcomed into our online TAE community forums, where you can ask questions, share experiences and ideas, and get to know other TAE-ers.

Prerequisites:

TAE requires some background in Focusing, Listening and Focusing partnership.

If you are not familiar with Focusing, we will direct you to the training that would be most appropriate for you.

To sign up for the class below, contact Bea for a free consultation to help you understand the process and clarify your goals in TAE.

What participants are saying:

“It is really interesting to see how training in Thinking at the Edge influences our lives. I notice that creativity is coming back in my daily routine in a new way and I can touch again the confidence in the joy of the creative being. Thanks for opening and holding the space that allows this to happen.”
Delphine Heymans
Visual artist, facilitator and Focusing trainer, Belgium
“Thank you for your course in Thinking at the Edge. I found so much depth and direction in my project, and discovered a love of being “at the edge”. Until recently this represented a place of fear, if not terror, as far as my writing was concerned. It was lovely to see how Beatrice reflected our words and process, and warmly held the group as we found surprising new insights. Thank you for a wonderful experience.”
Donna Abela
Playwright, Australia
Thank you, Bea! I deeply appreciate your gentle wisdom and deep listening - how you followed our threads of meaning so closely, and with such care and insight.
Nicola-Jane Le Breton, Australia
“I trust how you bring forth the learning potential in each one of us by your personal way of presenting TAE.”
Michaël Hébert
Focusing Trainer, Quebec

Your TAE Mentor, Beatrice Blake

I became a Certified Focusing Trainer in 2000 and took my first TAE course in 2004 with Gene Gendlin, Nada Lou and Kye Nelson. I’ve been a Certifying Coordinator with TIFI since 2011 and have been teaching TAE in English and Spanish since 2013.

I love to see how TAE brings Gendlin’s philosophy to life. This happens as I guide you through your own exploration and as you witness the transformative processes in your TAE-mates.
