2. Experiment with Light
Focusing helps us get in touch with what is really important to us, so it can make any practice more real and relevant.
One example of this is the Experiment with Light, developed by British Quaker Rex Ambler. Ambler learned about Focusing in the 1990s and felt that it helped him open to spirit during Quaker meditation. He developed an exercise called Experiment with Light that has been used in Quaker Meetings all over the world. We will experience how Focusing can get us out of mental ruminating and into the wisdom of the body.
Mount Toby Friends Meeting, 194 Long Plain Road, Leverett, MA just north of Amherst
Sunday, June 25, 11:40 a.m. Free.
3. Tools for Bridging the Political Divide
Do you feel at a loss when trying to communicate with people who have different political views than your own?
Are you concerned about how we Americans can overcome our divisions?
Do you want to get better at listening to others and braver at expressing how you really feel?
Explore these vital questions with Focusing trainer Beatrice Blake.
Focusing is a way of zeroing in on what really matters us by listening to our bodily “felt sense” of situations. Our felt sense can help us think freshly about situations, rather than acting from our habitual thought patterns.

5. Individual sessions in Focusing and Thinking at the Edge–in person, by phone, or online
I create a quiet, spacious, relaxed atmosphere, where you can breathe and allow what is within you to come into the world. It could be a stressful situation that you wish to transform, or a transformational idea that wants to be born through you. Like a good midwife, I will be fiercely protective of the quiet, supported space you need, so that there will be no intrusions or interruptions while your process is unfolding.
I love this work, and try to make it accessible and affordable to those who need it, by giving a discount for a series of 7 sessions.
You can start with a free, half hour session in order for us to get to know each other.
Individual sessions: $75
Series of 7 private, individual one-hour TAE sessions: $495. Payment plans available
