3. Individual sessions in Focusing and Thinking at the Edge

Location: in person, by phone or by Skype
Schedule: year round

I create a quiet, spacious, relaxed atmosphere, where you can breathe and allow what is within you to come into the world. It could be a stressful situation that you wish to transform, or a transformational idea that wants to be born through you. Like a good midwife, I will be fiercely protective of the quiet, supported space you need, so that there will be no intrusions or interruptions while your process is unfolding.

I love this work, and try to make it accessible and affordable to those who need it, by giving a discount for a series of 7 sessions.
You can start with a free, half hour session in order for us to get to know each other.

Individual sessions: $90
Series of 7 private, individual one-hour TAE sessions: $495.

Certification Program with Emphasis on Community Focusing and Thinking at the Edge

This course is directed toward experienced Focusers who want to become Certified Trainers and spread Focusing to places where it is needed. For two days every other month, we will be “in Focusing heaven”, learning together and practicing, with plenty of personal mentoring.  We will connect online via Zoom during months when we don’t meet in person.
If travel costs are not feasible, we can do the whole class through Zoom.
We will read Gendlin, Ann Weiser Cornell, Rob Parker, and become familiar with Community Focusing ideas–NVC games, art and play from Being Seriously Playful, Focusing and Spirituality, Domain Focusing, Suzanne Noel’s How We Heal model that combines Focusing with 12 Step programs. We will use Thinking at the Edge to explore and refine ideas of where and how you want to share Focusing.
The certification process is complete with attendance of The Focusing Institute’s Weeklong, held every fall in upstate New York (not included).
Dates: September 2017 through August 2018. Contact Beatrice Blake for the schedule.
Location:  I am committed to providing certification training for people in areas where there is no Focusing community, and bringing people in different parts of the world together with each other through technology like Zoom. I am fluent in Spanish, and am currently doing a certification program in El Salvador.
Cost:  $2160.00 plus travel costs (sliding scale possible).
